  10. I've been playing with Maven and for some reason am only getting garbage from
  11. one of my friends who owns a PowerMac 8500.  I don't have a digitizer yet
  12. (it's in
  13. the mail!) but we thought we'd see if I could hear him.  Everything runs
  14. fine but I
  15. get static and noise everytime.  I can't try it with another program since there
  16. _isn't_ another program that I know of except for NetPhone (which crashes
  17. SS dead)
  18. and CUSeeMe (which requires a 32Kbit/sec line minimum to handle sound).

  20. I haven't narrowed down if the problem is at my end or at his.  Sound has
  21. worked fine
  22. for me for just about every program from wave file players to system
  23. sounds, etc... so
  24. I would doubt it's a sound problem on my part.  I should be receiving the
  25. digitizer very soon so hopefully I'll narrow down the problem a bit more.
